If you regularly overeat and feel like you have no control of your eating or cannot explain why you eat the way you do, it may mean you are suffering from binge eating disorder.
Binge eating is often a coping mechanism to combat stress, depression or anxiety. It can include feelings related to how you look or can be due to severe or constant dieting.
Contrary to popular belief binge eating doesn't always result in weight gain or obesity and it's not something you can see on a person.
It can be a difficult disorder to come to terms with but it is something which can definitely be turned around with the right kind of help.
By putting measures in place to regain control and working through the reasons for your binges you can start to make peace with yourself and recover from this disorder.
Every binge eating client I work with has a different set of issues and I am very interested to find out more from others out there so if you think you suffer then I would love if you could fill out my anonymous small survey. Here is the Survey Link.
